We are pleased to invite you to a free training facilitated by Arizona AIDS Education and Training Center. The training will be held in both Tucson and Phoenix. The training aims to provide you with an update on HIV testing, PEP, and PREP.
Objectives of the workshop are the following:
-Compare the relative merits of different FDA-approved HIV tests
-Describe how new HIV tests fit in with current HIV testing recommendations
-Recognize the increasing role that RNA test play in HIV diagnosis
-Discuss indications for PEP and review recommended PEP Regimen
-Explain CDC guidelines for PrEP initiation and monitoring
This training is available to physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other clinicians serving the HIV affected population. Note that Nursing CEUs will be provided. C.M.E. application pending.
Tucson Training Details:
The Tucson training will be held at Abrams Public Health Building on October 12 and runs from 6 pm to 8 pm (check-in at 5:30 pm). Speakers include Bernard Brandon, MD, former Associate Director of Laboratory Diagnostics at Centers for Disease Prevention and Control, and Mayar Al Mohajer, MD, Infectious Disease Specialist at the University of Arizona College of Medicine.

Phoenix Training Details:
The Phoenix training will be held at Parsons Center for Health and Wellness on October from 6 pm to 8 pm (check-in at 5:30 pm). Speaker include Bernard Brandon, MD, the former Associate Director of Laboratory Diagnostics at Centers for Disease Prevention and Control, and John Po, MD, Infectious Disease Specialist at the University of Arizona College of Medicine.
